Mizarstvo Šavel is a company from Murska Sobota with a rich history, built on a family tradition passed down through three generations. For decades, it has upheld its mission of crafting high-quality custom interior furnishings. The beginnings of this family business date back to 1950, when master carpenter Štefan Šavel opened a small carpentry workshop. Twelve years later, he decided to expand the business and enlarge the production space — a key step for the company's future. With his masterful skill and dedication, Štefan Šavel laid a solid foundation for further development.

In 1979, his son, Štefan Šavel Jr., a wood engineering graduate, joined the company. Two years later, he took over its leadership. Under his guidance, the company grew further — modernizing production processes and successfully meeting market demands, which led to its continued expansion.

In 2000, the third generation, Matej Šavel, joined the family business and took over the leadership six years later. He still successfully runs the company today, together with a team of technologists and carpenters who have been an indispensable part of the company for over 20 years. Šavel is known for its precision and flexibility. Years of carpentry tradition, combined with modern technology and an innovative approach, enable them to create interior furnishings with contemporary design.
